Thanks, that's pretty much what I was looking for!
I seem to have too old emacs version (20.4.*) so M-x compare-windows
does not work (at least it doesn't for me). One should have 20.6 and
later according to other postings.
But "Tools->Compare->Two Buffers" does the job just fine!
