Yes, and yes. Put the following two lines in your .emacs:
(global-set-key [end] 'end-of-buffer)
(global-set-key [home] 'beginning-of-buffer)
There is a section in the Emacs FAQ about key binding. To get there,
type
C-h i
m Emacs FAQ
then select the menu item "Key bindings" from near the bottom of the menu
list.
