When I launch Emacs, it complains and asks me to start up with

emacs --debug-init

When I do, I get:

Debugger entered--Lisp error: (file-error "Opening directory" "no such file or directory" "/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/site-lisp") directory-files("/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/site-lisp")
  normal-top-level-add-subdirs-to-load-path()
(let ((current-default-directory default-directory)) (setq default-directory site-lisp-directory) (normal-top-level-add-subdirs-to-load-path) (setq default-directory current-default$ load-local-site-start("/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/site- lisp") (if (boundp (quote darwinp)) nil (load-local-site-start "/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/site-lisp")) (unless (boundp (quote darwinp)) (load-local-site-start "/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/Resources/site-lisp"))
  eval-buffer(#<buffer  *load*> nil "~/.emacs" nil t)
  load-with-code-conversion("/Users/mk9y/.emacs" "~/.emacs" t t)
  load("~/.emacs" t t)
#[nil "^H\205\227^@ \306=\203^Q^@\307^H\310Q\2025^@ \311=\203'^@\312\307\313\314#\203#^@\315\2025^@\316\2025^@ \317=\2031^@\320\2025^@\307^H\321Q^Z\322^S\323\n\322\211#\210^K$

Any advice would be appreciated. Please cc the reply to me, since I receive the digest, and would be happy to make progress soon.

Thanks,

MK
