This has absolutely nothing to do with emacs.
On the other this piece of code:
// my first program in C++
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main ()
{
cout << "Hello World!";
return 0;
}
compiles fine with g++ hello.cpp -o hello
so I don't get you.
