I have ALTERNATE_EDITOR environment variable set to
c:\emacs\bin\emacsclientw.exe -n -a C:emacs\bin\runemacs.exe "%1"
and (server-start) in my .emacs,
and in registry HKCR
*/shell/open/command (default) REG_SZ c:\emacs\bin\emacsclientw.exe -n -a
./shell/open/command (default) REG_SZ c:\emacs\bin\emacsclientw.exe -n -a
emacs/shell/open/command (default) REG_EXPAND_SZ
c:\emacs\bin\emacsclientw.exe -n -a C:emacs\bin\runemacs.exe "%1"
I realize that the -a switch is the same as ALTERNATE_EDITOR but it
shouldn't conflict should it?
There are also a few entries in assoc and ftype so that for example .txt
files are opened with emacs. With all this I still get another instance
of emacs opening if I click on an appropriate file in msw explorer, and
after seeing that "Emacsclient ERROR c:\emacs\bin\emacsclientw.exe:
connect : No error |OK?|". Does any of you have any clues as to what is
going on here?
