You should be able to process Documentation/user/latex-mudela-example.latex

However, you may have to use .93's mudela-book: 

    python ~/usr/src/lilypond-1.3.93/scripts/mudela-book.py 
~/usr/src/lilypond-1.3.93/Documentation/user/latex-mudela-example.latex 

it seems that something broke in 94
