I'm trying to test authentication against a remote radius server. However, radtest is being less than friendly.

# ./radtest -v -x 100 -s 166.82.2.109:sharedsecret
radtest> send auth Access-Request (User-Name = ggersh User-Password = kadfk)
radtest: debug: client.c:247:grad_client_send0: sending Access-Request

radtest: debug: send: User-Password = (STRING) \120\304\016\276\275\350\163\256\000V VK\342\011\347

radtest>

First, it's trying to hit the local server (which I don't have running), even though I specified a remote server on the command line. Second, it doesn't seem to be connecting to the remote server. netstat on the remote server doesn't show the connection, which is expected, I guess. I don't see the attempt being logged by the radiusd on the remote server. The remote server is definately running and responds to local requests from radtest.

Both radtest and the remote server are GnuRadius 1.3.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
