[help-gnubatch] Cannot locate control file

Greetings,

I have a previously working install of gnubatch 1.4 that will no longer 
start. When gbch-start is run I receive the error "Still could no open 
control file err is No such file or directory" according to the manual 
the control files are located in /usr/local/share/gnubatch , this was 
not changed at compile time.  /usr/local/share/gnubatch is currently 
owned by the gnubatch user and does have rw permissions. I have a 
feeling this is a simple fix but I'm having trouble tracing out what is 
going on.  Is there anyway to get more verbose error output or could 
someone offer a few suggestions?
