Ok, after a few days of testing and tweaking GNUnet is finally running
again stably.

As it turned out, there was a problem with my memory. I tried to upgrade
it a few days ago, which failed (motherboard to old :( ) and in the
process I have swapped in a memory module which had a bit error. I
swapped it out again and now GNUnet is running ok. As there was a flurry
of updates in the CVS and the timing of the faults did not directly
coincide with my memory experiments, I got on the wrong track...

Sorry I made noise about it, but at least we know now how GNUnet reacts
to bad memory ;)

Thanks for giving the right hints.

Ciao,
