Hello everybody,

I've spent the entire weekend installing gnustep-base.
I'm working on a PPC G4 Powerbook and had to start by compiling a new gcc, followed by many libs. Unfortunately it didn't all work out as smoothly as I had hoped.
Now I'm just plain lost or I've overdone it ;-)

I'm working with:
gnustep-startup-0.16.1.

While compiling:
gnustep-startup-0.16.1/build/gnustep-base-1.13.1/SSL

I get the following error:
# make
Making all for bundle SSL...
 Linking bundle SSL ...
/usr/bin/ld: warning -L: directory name (/usr/GNUstep/System/Library/Libraries/gnu-gnu-gnu) does not exist
/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
___objc_class_name_Protocol
___objc_exec_class
_objc_get_class
_objc_msg_lookup
_objc_msg_lookup_super
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [SSL.bundle/./SSL] Error 1
make: *** [SSL.all.bundle.variables] Error 2

I did originally work with ./InstallGNUstep - but it always ends here so I figured jumping there and starting the process manually is quicker.

I've sourced this:
. /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh

Done that:
echo $DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH
/var/root/GNUstep/Library/Libraries:/usr/GNUstep/Local/Library/Libraries:/usr/GNUstep/Network/Library/Libraries:/usr/GNUstep/System/Library/Libraries

Can anybody help me? Or what information are you missing so that somebody can help me?

What is this gnu-gnu-gnu Library its looking for?

Help! I'm stumped and exhausted :-)

Thank you,

Ole.
