hello people, hello marcus.

happy new year.

[i met marcus in bristol last year]

well i decided to try to get gnu/hurd running again
after the disaster attempts at network connections.

my laptop (sony vaio pcg-z600hek) has a built-in
eepro100 and... well... it wasn't recognised, and
updating the driver from the linux kernel didn't
help either.

so i basically gave up.

now i have re-downloaded the gnu-latest.tar.gz as of
today, copied it over, done a reinstall, got at least
two complaints from the native-install program, and
now i want my network, dammit!!!

:)

i tell you, it is really something to want to get my
network card recognised but to have no idea how to
go about setting it up!

i have no clue as to how to even _check_ that the
card is recognised, but the one nice thing is that
the boot messages seem to throw up something about
an eepro100.

i'm afraid, marcus, that i trashed the network options
you kindly helped me with.

help!

l.
