Is there any way to fake optional dependencies with GNU make?
Double-colon rules are run once for each rule so that isn't useful.
Defining multiple rules causes make to complain a lot.
Perhaps there is a way to build a target after all the other ones? Then
I could just make the target commands handle missing dependencies.
