The official version of gnuplot for Windows doesn't work correctly
with Octave because it doesn't read data on stdin.  Mumit Khan's patch
fixed that problem.  At first, he was distributing binaries of the
modified version, but then we found out that the gnuplot copyright
didn't allow that, so he had to withdraw the binary from his web
page.  It may be that the gnuplot copyright has changed to allow us to
distribute modified binaries.  If so, there will probably be some
available in the near future.
