gmane groups for octave ?

I was wondering what people think of requesting http://gmane.org/ to
news-ify our octave mailing lists..


would anyone mind?  would anyone else (besides me) benefit from this?

PS: for me, i find news a bit easier to read/search than either mail
or web archives.
