I am linking to threaded ATLAS since octave-1.50.

Essentially you can just run configure and then change (in Makeconf) library
names
to threaded version and then add lpthread to LIBS.
You should be aware that lpthread breaks cputime -- you will have to use
tic/toc for your benchmarking.
