Respected Sir,
I am trying to compile Octave 64-bit on our Itanium 64-bit machines
running Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 3
I am using the intel compilers icc & ifort with the following
configure
command:
/configure --prefix=/home/octave/ --enable-64 --with-f77=ifort CXX=icc
CC=icc F77=ifort FFLAGS="-i8 -O"
Configure throws the following error:
"checking for dummy main to link with Fortran 77 libraries... unknown
configure: error: linking to Fortran libraries from C fails"
Please suggest on how to work around this error.
Thanking you,
