There is one thing that prevents me to fund a free software project as Octave.
There is no way to know how the money will be spent. I'd like to know if my
money will be to pay bandwidth, new servers, an student to write some code or
documentation, pizzas,... Could this be better explained in the funding
webpage?

Maybe a good way to get some money for Octave development would be set up a
reward program. Let's say I want/need more information about plotting because
the Octave handbook plotting chapter is rather old. I could offer some money
(20 eur, 15 eur, 30 eur? I don't know) for a new improved chapter. Obviously
the code/documentation written in this way should have the same license that
Octave code and documentation. I'm sure that many of us have more money than
free time. Other people could offer their services.
