Hi John,

I know that the question is maybe partially irrelevant, but
hopefully clarifying. In
what respect does this special whitespace feature removal
"causes a lot more problems than it solves" - apart from
compatibility? this feature caused me a lot more
time to debug - I namely dont use matlab at all.

if i want a special Matlab feature I simply write
gg {1} = { permut permut(1) }
or with the whitespace between second permut and 1.

Regards,
G.
