If you are expecting a GUI, Octave doesn't have one (and I would argue
that Matlab doesn't really have one either, but others may disagree).
You might look at Octave Workshop and Qt Octave, which are the only
attempts I'm aware of for giving a GUI to Octave. Both are currently
very unstable projects, as I understand it.
