It has been tested under Windows and Linux with java-1.5 and java-1.6
(although it seems to only work with java-1.6 under Linux).

You should really use the -verbose flag to see the result of the
compilation and installation. Given the following error messages,
I'm pretty sure the configure script has problem detecting java
and associated headers (JNI headers are required, which are part
of JDK).

Note also that you need JOGL to run the jhandles package.
