Octave now up and running on a Mac

Yep, the student was expecting a GUI, I guess.

My first reaction was ... how could anyone be such a blockhead as to miss the prompt ......

But, then I remembered exactly the same thing happened to me when I installed Octave on a XP machine.  I got a dos window and figured I needed help.  So I posted a msg on the google octave group ... reinstalled ... this time saying I wanted a GUI .... and it worked .... I now think I could have gone with the dos window ...

In any case .....all's well that ends well.

Thanks
