How about providing an example of precisely what you are doing,
showing where you are putting the keyboard command, and precisely what
variables you expect to see at that point, etc.?

If you are reporting a bug, it helps to report the bug on the bug list
instead of the help list, and also include code that can be used to
duplicate the problem.  I can't tell exactly what you are doing from
your description above.
