Windows (Vista): Norton SONAR thinks octave-3.2.4 is a risk and deletes it ???

I installed octave-3.2.4 as part of a cygwin installation on a Windows 
Vista laptop. Unfotunately, when I call octave, the SONAR component of 
Norton Internet Security (my Anti-Virus protection) hits and removes the 
.exe. Annoyingly, it does it without offering an option.

Any recommendations?  I am a bit hestitating to disable SONAR, this is 
to protect my machine...
