Hi I'm having problems in installing Octave
This is the error I get
/usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/libcholmod.a(cholmod_l_common.o): relocation
R_X86_64_32 against `.rodata.str1.1' can not be used when making a
shared object; recompile with -fPIC
/usr/lib/libcholmod.a: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [liboctave.so] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/laura/Softwares/octave-3.2.4/liboctave'
make[1]: *** [liboctave] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/laura/Softwares/octave-3.2.4'
make: *** [all] Error 2
Can anybody help me?
