error found... and reading NetCDF data

Dear all,

I had installed Octave under Ubuntu 10.10 by default (it was installed Octave-3.2.4).
I found some error reports after installation. The messages are:

error: fclose: invalid stream number = -1
error: called from:
error:   /usr/share/octave/3.2.4/m/pkg/pkg.m at line 363, column 1
error:   /usr/share/octave/3.2.4/m/startup/octaverc at line 25, column 1

What are the meaning of these errors.

One more question :
About reading NetCDF data using octave. I read about the requirements to read NetCDF data using octave at http://modb.oce.ulg.ac.be/mediawiki/index.php/NetCDF_toolbox_for_Octave#Requirements . It explained that I should use Octave and header (version 3.3.51 or higher).

How can I upgrade my octave-3.2.4 into version 3.3.51 or higher (the latest version) ?

Any information and answers for all of my questions would be appreciated.

Thank you very much.
Adi
