Hullo All,
I am running Octave 3.4.3 on Fedora 16 x86_64.
I installed java-1.2.8 from octave-forge, and used 'install -verbose'
which showed it installed without any errors or problems.
When I run some code which uses java I get the following error...
error: java_invoke:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0.x86_64/jre/lib/amd64/client/libjvm.so:
failed to load:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0.x86_64/jre/lib/amd64/client/libjvm.so:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The message is correct, as there is no '...amd64/client' dir.
There is an '...amd64/server/libjvm.so'.
My java (opendjk) packages are all installed from the Fedora repository.
Does anyone know what might be going on here?
Would a possible solution be for me (as su) create the '...amd64/client'
dir with copy of libjvm.so?
Cheers,
