cannot display certain nodes in octave.info* in Octave for Windows

I installed Octave for Windows (Octave3.4.3 on Win7) for the first
time ever. I am very impressed with how easy this went, and how well
everything works.

One problem: If I type 'doc' I get the main octave.info node, as
expected. However if I type, for example, 'doc plotting', I get a
"cannot find node" error. I believe this is because the info tool is
not finding or properly interpreting the info subfiles (i.e.,
octave.info-#), even though infodir and infofile settings appear
correct when I type octave_config_info.

I suspect this is more of an msys+mingw than an Octave question, but
I'm also guessing others have experienced this problem and hoping
there is a quick fix.
