Hmmm... A good question. In the first approximation, I would say "yes", but I am not sure how linear it really is. It essentially consists of a plastic block made of very poor thermal conductivity, in which areĀ insertedĀ 8 metal pins (with a good thermal conductivity). Each of these pins contains a heater and one of them has a thermocouple that is used for feedback in a closed-loop control system. So there is thermal conductivity between each pin and the plastic block, between each pin and the ambient air, and between the plastic block and the air. All of these effects *should* be linear...
