Please note, that this mailing list can only provide help with problems
related to Octave. Your email input is quite huge. In order to get quick
answers, keep your problem description short, but complete (with minimal
code example including relevant test data). AFAIK there are not many
electrical engineers around in this mailing list, that can provide help with
your PhD related topic, and hardly anyone is willing to read scientific
papers in order to provide you help.
Regarding your problem. You want to do nonlinear data fitting. Matlab
provides the function "lsqnonlin", that isn't available in Octave. Did you
consider the Octave forge "optim" package ? For installation look here
. If you fully understand your problem you might be able to reformulate
the given formulae to use any other function for an adequate solution.
