Hi, this is not an octave technical support question, but a request to the mailing list administrators, hope i'm right asking here. Would it be possible to add a tag to the subject of mails addressed to the mailing list such as [octave-help]? I see many mailman mailing lists using this functionality. I guess it would be much easier for someone to browse through lots of mails... thanks.
I don't know if your wish is going to be fulfilled, but I have an alternative solution for your ploblem.
I use various folders in my inbox and have set up the following filter rule at my mail provider:
If header field “List-Id” contains “help-octave.gnu.org” -> Move mail to folder X
