[Help-tar] Inquiry on GNU Tar

Hi,

 

Please let me know whether the backup utility GNU Tar supports the following requirements.

 

File Backup and Restore

Backup to CD/DVD, Local hard disk, network share, Tape drive

Full Backup supported (Rewrite the old data)

File size supported

File Compression technology

Manual and Scheduled backup

Command line utility

Tool usability and manageability

Detailed logs

Support on Windows Server 2008 with tape drives. (Also please let me know the Supported Operating systems)
