Unable to Checkout Module

Hello Everyone,

        I am unable to check out a module from my cvs server.. I am getting the error:

                    cvs [server aborted]: can't chdir(""): No such file or directory

        I am using these commands: 
                    cvs -qd :pserver:address@hidden:/home/sourcecontrol/TASS co -lp timesheet

                    cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/home/sourcecontrol/TASS -z3 co -d "untitled1" timesheet       

        Can anyone explain why this is occurring and how to fix it?
