Re: Checking out a "subset" of a CVS module

A reason could be to waste less disk space. Lets assume you have a large 
module (which started off small, but grew over time). And lets say 10 people 
are working on this module. So 10 times lets say 50 MB is already 500MB just 
for the sources of this module.

There are two solutions I think: 
1) You want to be able to checkout just a subset of a module
OR 
2) You must be able to split up modules !!
OR
3) You always delete the unnecessary files from the large checked out module.
 (This is very cumbersome and errorprone .... )


Especially the second "solution" would be of interest to me too.

-> How can you split up a module in two or more modules, maybe keeping the 
history or even the tags ???
