Subject: | Fix for bug in script posted for restricting checkins to branches |
Date: | Fri, 18 May 2001 14:39:22 +0530 |
I had posted a script on this mailing list, to restrict
checkins to branches. I have found a bug in the script which would prevent
checkins to branches which have not been 'locked' in some cases - for example
when you have files like main.c and newmain.c in the same directory. I have
fixed it and I am posting an updated version of the script. If you are using the
script then please replace it with the updated version.
Please also note that I have not tested this script for
filenames having spaces
Thanks Shubho
Hello!
The branch security works great,
but there is the next danger
to CVS repository,
anyone can delete a tag, also the name of branch (anyone who have write access),
it can happen in large environment where
its not possible to control everyone.
The
lock-branch script was very helpful,
maybe there is similar
script lying
arount to
protect tags from delete
operation?
Many thanks!
