Hello,

For the past few months I've been seeing some problems with "cvs update"
related to repositories I've set up.

Basically, if I do a check-out I get everything. But if someome else then
adds a directory I sometimes (but not always) won't get a copy of that
directory when doing "cvs update". It's just ignored completely, as if we
were operating on two different respositoroes. And yes, I think it's limited
to directories and not individual files.

I just saw it again on a fresh repository. I had done "cvs init", "cvs co
CVSROOT", edited modules, "cvs commit", manually greated the module
directory in the repository. Then I test it out and it seemed to work fine;
but just when myself and another person were going to start using it we ran
into the update problem again (and were even accessing CVS *as the same
user*!). I would add a directory with a file in it, and when he did "cvs
update" he saw absolutely nothing of that directory.

What on earth could this be? I'm not doing anything "funny", so I don't
understand what these random errors are coming from.
