Hi all,
I have the same problem than David whith winCVS and pserver method. It
occurs when dealing with directories containing more than almost 10
sub-directories. It works fine when treating each sub-directory manually.
So I also tried locally on the server with the command : cvs -d
/my_repository co package
I obtained a core dump !
The result of the "strings" command on the core file displays :
CORE
address@hidden
sito+
CORE
cvs -d /d2/ACS/arc/repository co src
CORE
netd
tito
y prepending a tab.
-v --version Output version info.
--help Output this help.
If a FILE is `-', read standard input.
Usage: %s [OPTION]... MYFILE OLDFILE YOURFILE
internal error: screwup in format of diff blocks
diff error: %s
internal error: invalid diff type in process_diff
invalid diff format; invalid change separator
diff
--horizon-lines=%d
subsidiary diff failed
could not open temporary diff file
files are too large to fit into memory
invalid diff format; incomplete last line
pipe close
invalid diff format; incorrect leading line chars
internal error: invalid diff type passed to output
====%s
...
When I check the memory during the cvs commands, it seems to be enought free
mem !
All this was working fine in december 2001 ...
What can I do ?
My context is :
Linux RedHat 7.0 = Linux hostname 2.2.16-22 #1 Tue Aug 22 16:49:06 EDT 2000
i686 unknown
CVS = Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.10.8 (client/server)
Thanks,
Jean-Marie Damas.
