Working directory & laptop?

Just a quick question:

If I copy my working directory to my laptop, do some modifications, copy 
it back and do a commit, will I have any issues?

I don't see how I would.  The file modification dates will have changed, 
but all the stuff that makes it a working copy (i.e. stuff in CVS 
directories) will not have changed.
