Hi Anette

Adding a text file as binary should never affect it, while adding a Word
document as text usually truncates it to about 6 bytes.

If you ignore the warning and add the file a binary you should not have
any problems, beware though that CVS remembers the type of a file once
it is added, to get a clean slate you must remove the rsc file from the
repository.
Of cause you may also use cvs admin -kb to change the type of a file.

Good luck
anders
