cvs hang

In my process of upgrading to 1.11.9 I have found these problems.

On my test machine I can't use Eclipse 2.0.2 or 2.1.1 to retrieve a list
of our repository tree.

More importantly I compiled 1.11.9 on a client and the dying gasps
stopped.  I upgraded our build machine and the checkout worked the first
time but hung subsequently.


Is cvs -t the most verbose output available?
