Ok It seems like this is not a problem with CVS.
The old machine floodpingning:
--- rd42.uwatecag.local ping statistics ---
22843 packets transmitted, 22843 received, 0% loss, time 15202ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.104/0.115/0.412/0.019 ms, ipg/ewma 0.665/0.117 ms
address@hidden repos]#
and the new machine floodpinging
address@hidden sbin]# ping -f rd42
PING rd42.uwatecag.local (172.31.98.133) 56(84) bytes of data.
.........
--- rd42.uwatecag.local ping statistics ---
881 packets transmitted, 872 received, 1% packet loss, time 15387ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.122/0.167/0.646/0.031 ms, pipe 2, ipg/ewma
17.485/0.171 ms
So, it seems like the new machine is both slow and drops pakets.
It is an ASUS motherboard with
Seems like I have to debug the network interface....
