All,
I use RCS via Emacs and really like what RCS does for me. However, is
there a way to add a keyword to RCS? What I want to do is to be able
to add a program description to my RCS files so that it can be gathered
from the rlog command. I do see that if I check in files with the -t
option that description info gets added to the RCS file as a 'desc'
which the rlog command reads. However, I don't want to have to type
the program description in twice - once in the program header and once
for RCS. It would be better if when I checked the program into RCS
that RCS grabbed the description from my program header or even when I
check the file into RCS then the description at check in gets populated
into the program header in something like a $Desc$ keyword.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get my program
description into RCS as well as into my program header while only
typing the info once?
Thanks very much,
Jack
