Hi,

Thanks for your valuable information. I have changed following 

pserver9         2401/tcp                # CVS Port Number 
pserver9         2401/udp                # CVS Port Number 

and in inetd.conf

pserver9 stream tcp      nowait root     /usr/bin/cvs cvs -f
--allow-root=/apps/cvsroot pserver9

Now CVS is working fine on AIX 5.3
