I am pleased to announce the release of GNU Mailutils 2.2. This is
primarily a bug-fix release. See NEWS below for details.

GNU Mailutils provides libraries and programs for electronic mail
handling. It contains a rich set of mail-related utilities and servers,
including `pop3d', `imap4d', `sieve', a universal mail delivery agent
`maidag' and an MH message-handling system.

All utilities are able to operate on mailboxes of arbitrary formats,
ranging from standard UNIX maildrops, through maildir and up to remote
mailboxes, which are transparently accessed using IMAP4, POP3 and SMTP.

Here are the compressed sources:     (4.3MB)    (3.0MB)   (2.0MB)     (2.2MB)

Here are the GPG detached signatures[*]:

[*] You can use either of the above signature files to verify that
the corresponding file (without the .sig suffix) is intact. First,
be sure to download both the .sig file and the corresponding tarball.
Then, run a command like this:

  gpg --verify mailutils-2.2.tar.gz.sig

If that command fails because you don't have the required public key,
then run this command to import it:

  gpg --keyserver --recv-keys 55D0C732

and rerun the `gpg --verify' command.

This release was bootstrapped with the following tools:
  Autoconf 2.63
  Automake 1.11.1
  Libtool 2.2.5a
  Gnulib v0.0-3677-ge01b458

Changes in this version:

* Guile support updated to compile with Guile 1.9.x

* MIME header parser fixed.

It is now fully compatible with RFCs 2231, 2047 and 2183. Apart from
that, it tolerates a wide variety of malformed headers that may be
generated by the existing MUAs.

* Minor fixes in MH repl.

* SQL interface allows to use `CALL' in queries.

* Movemail improvements.

New option --program-id sets the identifier used in diagnostic
messages, instead of the program name. This is handy if many
instances of mailfromd are being run simultaneously (e.g. to convert
a mailspool contents to another mailbox format).

* Fix eventual mailbox corruption in imap4d.
Delivery of a signal when a previous signal was being handled would
cause mailbox corruption. This is fixed.

* Imap4d: fix FETCH BODY command handling

FETCH BODY with a nonempty section spec returns section body without
headers, as requested by RFCs 2060, 3501.

* Several memory-related problems fixed.
