Follow-up etc in NEW frame

I would like to do my replies/followups/new posts in a new frame so that
I can easily look at other posts whilst I am composing (ie in addition
to what I have just yanked): like when I hit "m" in VM. I googled around
and found some old lisp code, and also command-other-frame.el Before I
try to get that working: is there an easier way ?
