Persistently unread articles

I often receive important email to which I cannot immediately reply/react
(typically, someone at work telling me "bring me the foo documents", but I'm
reading it at home).

I'd like to mark such articles as "persistently unread" so that as long as
I dont explicitly remove this special "persistently unread" mark they'll
keep showing up as unread email.

The `tick' mark is the closest approximation I could find but it's not quite
what I want: a ticked mark is indeed persistent and will make sure that the
article appears in the Summary buffer, but ticked articles appear as read,
not as unread.

Note that I do not want to change the behavior of ticked articles, because
I already use the tick mark for articles which I want to keep in my
Summaries but which aren't so important (they should not keep appearing as
unread).

Another approximation to what I want is to start writing a reply, and save
the draft in the nndrafts folder where articles seem to always behave as
"persistently unread". But I'm not completely satisfied by this either (it
merges all the "persistently unread" email into a single folder).

Have I missed the "persistently unread" feature somewhere?
