Maybe the last header of those messages is folded into two or
more lines with LWSPs.

How about replacing the `(forward-line -1)' line with this one?

            (while (and (zerop (forward-line -1))
                        (memq (char-after) '(?\t ?\n ? ))))

It makes it move point to the beginning of the last header correctly.
