To answer my own question  :

The key was _not_ to set  spam-use-bogofilter-headers 

| [X] Spam autodetection-specific methods: [Value Menu] Use specific
| methods:
|         ...
|         [X] spam-use-bogofilter-headers
|         [X] spam-use-bogofilter

Wow. Gnus spam handling is pretty nice.
