Thanks for your reply. Please find bellow how I create the jail then add a user to it. and how it fails

creating the jail and adding a newly created user to it.

What does that mean? why should be the user ID 0 or root? I want to log on as normal user not root.

Plus if you an advise that none of the users inside the jail /data01/mco/custdata  should not be able to brows eachothers directories --
