Thanks, I applied it. How about adding a ChangeLog entry (outside of
the patch) next time?
Also, it would be cool to have test cases, but that's probably quite a
burden until we have a more complete base.

You underestimate the cleverness of the L4 designers...
See the specification. The idea here is to highlight the RWX flags.
Now, you could also ask why they are not called RWE flags...
