I also get duplicates. I try to be careful when I reply to send only to
the list and edit out the duplicates by hand. Sometimes I am tired and I
mess up.
There *are* mailman configuration options that will achieve the effect
that you mention: primarily, bashing the reply-to field. Whether this is
a good practice is a subject for mailing list holy wars.
